It’s Finally Football Season Ya’ll!!!

Football party table decor

There are tons of things I look forward to with the changing of the summer season to fall: pumpkins everywhere, escaping the (makeup and blowout) melting Texas summer sun cooler weather, the idea that cozy sweaters, leggings, and boots are acceptable (and chic? yes–very chic) everyday wear, but most of all…..FOOTBALL SEASON!!! Yes, fall is coming. No longer do I have to cling on to the slow and painful (never to be mentioned again) Texas Rangers baseball season, the sound of helmets clashing and whistles blowing is here to save the day!  I also LOVE hosting parties, or any excuse to buy decorative items for that matter.  This season I entered my very first (no judgement please) Football Fantasy draft and it gives a whole new meaning to otherwise meaningless NFL games.  I decided to throw a very impromptu Sunday Game-day Brunch at my apartment for my friends. I just grabbed a few extra game-day themed items and re-purposed several items from around my home.

It was a fun and easy party to put together, and I just love the fun little extras like the glow sticks and crazy straws!  I’ll admit, that I’ve never really been into NFL football (shh don’t tell anyone); I’ve always been much more into and excited for College Football.  However, now that I have a fantasy football team, I found myself cheering right along with all the boys for the big Sunday games–I guess that’s the point of fantasy football huh?! I’ll be cheering on my TCU Horned Frogs all season and definitely probably watching a lot more NFL games now! What are your favorite football party ideas? I’d love to hear your best dip recipes, DIYs, and fall hostess tips!!
