Trip No. 2 of my #15Tripsin2015 was an incredibly last-minute road trip to Houston to see my grandparents. After having a Valentine’s Eve Slumber Party with my 3 year old niece, a wonderful relaxing Valentine’s Saturday morning of cartoons, and an amazing lunch date with Matt’s brother and wife, Matt and I spontaneously decided to pack a quick bag and meet my family in Houston at our grandparent’s house. I am so blessed to have spent Valentine’s Day exactly the way I wanted to this year: with as many of the people I love as possible! The trip was a less than 24 hour turn around, and it rained almost the entire time (my hair does not agree with Houston humidity!) but spending even a few short hours with my family all-together was the best celebration of love on this Valentine’s Day.
I drew inspiration for this room from the dreary grey sky, the incredible endless forests of giant trees (they don’t call it “The Woodlands” for nothin!), and my interpretation of rustic-ranch-glam. See the brainstorming behind my inspiration for this room on my Houston Inspired Room Pinterest board!
